Combining a distinguished career in the
financial industry with decorated military service and experience
in local government, Stephanie Kifowit offers a unique blend
of a commitment to public service coupled with strong leadership
and an education tailor-made for the challenges of the City
of Aurora.

As an alderman, Stephanie Kifowit has worked
tirelessly to bring new parks to the Third Ward. She has
brought hundreds of thousands of dollars into the ward through
various grants. By working with the East Aurora School District,
she was able to provide sidewalks so elementary aged school
children could safely walk to Krug School. With help from
the Bardwell Initiative Safety Taskforce, she is working
to have every alley installed with lighting in order to make
them safer. Recently, she has published a quarterly bi-lingual
newsletter for the residents of the ward telling them important
information on how to become involved in our community. Her
ward committee meetings have always been open to the public
so that everyone can be involved.
Financial Experience: Stephanie has worked
for six years in the banking and financial industry. She
managed portfolios for clients as a registered financial
advisor for Morgan Stanley, and as a private banking associate
for Bank One (now JP Morgan).

of Northern Illinois University. She received her undergraduate
degree in Political Science and her Masters Degree in Public
